Course Description

During the session, participants will gain a better understanding of the varying language levels in relation to the WIDA standards. Participants will also be able to identify strategies to best serve emergent bilingual students within the four domains of language: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Participants will also identify and discuss characteristics of highly-effective paraprofessionals and reflect on how such characteristics in addition to best practice support strategies for EL learners can impact their own practice.
