When students are truly engaged, they’re not just compliant — they’re curious, motivated, and in control of their learning. This session explores how to move beyond managing behavior toward cultivating self-regulation and ownership in every learner. Participants will examine practical strategies to boost engagement, support focus, and strengthen students’ ability to reflect in productive ways. Through interactive discussion and classroom-tested examples, educators will learn how to: Include specific elements in lesson design that encourage sustained engagement. Model self-regulation skills for learning and behavior. Leave with ready-to-implement strategies and tools to help create classrooms where students take charge of their learning — with confidence and purpose.
