This semester-long course is designed to explore the HighScope Curriculum Resource that helps children develop key mathematical skills. It includes detailed plans for small- and large-group activities, with ideas for extending learning throughout the program day. Learn how all children can participate in mathematical learning using the built-in developmental progression. Numbers Plus actively engages young children’s mathematical aptitude with appealing materials and ideas. Teachers will become familiar with and utilize the Numbers Plus resource in their classrooms and plan instruction to target appropriate math concepts and skills in developmentally appropriate ways.

Course Format Information
This course will be a mix of outside readings and assignments, along with Zoom sessions to better understand the resource and share ideas with others. Asynchronous work must be completed before the live session. Participants will need a charged laptop and a quiet space to fully engage in small group discussion. Cameras must be on during the online (Zoom) portions of the course.
Evaluation and Attendance Information
Evaluation forms for this course will be available for 24 hours after the course has ended. All evaluation forms must be completed by that time. Attendance will be taken via sign-in sheet and once the attendance information has been entered into the course, your PD hour form will be available.
