Course Description

The PD provides an overview of Study Skills curriculum frameworks and instructional resources. 

Audience

11th and 12th Grade Special Education Teachers and Social Workers

Additional Information

This course is part of the NTO week coursework but is also for all special education teachers who will start working with the new curriculum in their classrooms in the fall. All participants will be paid the hourly rate for their participation and therefore their PD Hours will not be eligible for Professional Credit submission. Course Format Information

This course will take place in person.  Please bring your laptop.

Evaluation and Attendance Information

Evaluation forms for this course will be available for 24 hours after the course has ended.  All evaluation forms must be completed by that time.  Attendance will be taken via sign-in sheet and once the attendance information has been entered into the course, your PD hour form will be available. 

PD Hour/Professional Credit Information

As this is a required PD course taking place outside of contractual school hours, you will receive pay for attending this course. Per the agreement between U-46 and ETA, all PD that receives hourly pay is not eligible for Professional Credits. You can submit these hours to ISBE/ELIS for licensure renewal but not to the Professional Credit System. If you have questions about this, please contact professionalcredit@u-46.org
