This professional learning session equips occupational and physical therapy practitioners with essential tools to structure their intervention practices effectively from the start of the school year. Participants will employ collaborative planning to design effective interventions and develop their initial therapy plan for students. Key components include: IEP reviews, goal setting, managing accommodations and modifications, scheduling for classrooms and individual student services, collaboration strategies with special education and general education teachers, and related service providers. The session also covers data collection methods for progress monitoring, considerations for Extended School Year (ESY) regression, and strategies for proactive parental involvement and communication.
