Participants will be able to define what disciplinary literacy is and what is means to read and write in different content areas. Participants will also be able to explain how disciplinary literacy is aligned to the SAT and how incorporating literacy into each content area will help students perform on the SAT. From there, teachers will learn how to access the Gale database and incorporate a disciplinary text into an upcoming lesson.
