Course Description

Math teachers at Tefft Middle School will participate in a book study using the text "Building A Thinking Classroom in Math" by Peter Liljedahl. Through collaboration and discussion of the text, the math department will implement strategies to building a thinking classroom in their own classrooms. The intent is to build student collaboration and engagement to support student learning. The book study will consist of two PD hours for reading the assigned text each month and one PD hour for an in person discussion and implementation of the new learning.

Course Format Information

2 PD hours for reading the text independently 1 PD hour for the book study discussion (in person session)

Evaluation and Attendance Information

Evaluation forms for this course will be available for 24 hours after the course has ended.  All evaluation forms must be completed by that time.  Attendance will be taken via sign-in sheet and once the attendance information has been entered into the course, your PD hour form will be available.
