Tefft: Level Up! Marking the Text - 11/8, Lunch Periods

This course will assist staff in the continued implementation of our school initiative, Level Up. Marking the Text is an annotation skill that is part of this initiative. As staff prepares lessons that include this skill, they will need to create purpose for students' reading to help students isolate the important skills and content they are expected to know. This course will assist staff in creating this purpose for reading as well as offer scaffolding techniques for populations of students who need more assistance and ones who are showing proficiency.

Tefft Teachers and support staff

This presentation will be led by Valerie Albuck. Valerie Albuck is an ELA teacher at Tefft Middle school. She is a C-Chair of the SIP team and member of the Level UP team.

Course Format Information

Students will need their laptops. A short, asynchronous task will be required in addition to attendance at the in-person session

Evaluation and Attendance Information

Evaluation forms for this course will be available for 24 hours after the course has ended.  All evaluation forms must be completed by that time.  Attendance will be taken via sign-in sheet and once the attendance information has been entered into the course, your PD hour form will be available.
